The Big Picture
Parenting is the most important and challenging job any of us will ever do. We need the help of others --extended families, health care providers, faith institutions, communities and our government -- to help make sure our children grow up healthy, safe and eager to learn.
We all know it’s the right thing to offer every child the best chance in life we can. We sometimes miss that it’s the smart thing, too. Because when we work together to support all our kids, we create a brighter future for all of Connecticut.

What You Can Do
You don't have to wait for your kids to go to school before you get involved. There are hundreds of federal, state, and local policies that support (or undermine) the quality of early care and education that is available in Connecticut. You can influence these policies by getting involved. See what you can do right now to help all our families enjoy quality, affordable early care and education.
Our Early Care and Education Issue Areas
Connecticut Parent Power participates in several statewide groups, but we are also composed of parents who understand the day-to-day challenges of the early care and education system. Being in both of these places means we are informed about the most current and most important issues in early care and education. Read more about our current early care and education issue areas.
